Traumatized by the destruction of the Black Sheep Pack at Wolf Mountain State Forest, he wrestles with the return to captivity, and the wish to resume life in the wilderness. Navigation of an unknown future alongside familiar faces, as well as new ones, where simplicity and satisfaction have intertwined are essential to his survival

In addition, the story of John Ellis continues with the return trip to Salt Lake City with his girlfriend Kristi Meadowood beside him. He discovers the efforts necessary to maintain his relationship with her, and the fact those with family and friends alike have changed. Since the introduction of Snow Wolf into his life, John decides to slightly alter his career path, which will create new challenges for him. These will be paired with the arrival of other challenges where the possibility to lose everything he has worked for is high.

Upon graduation from high school, Reilly Henning enters the Terraform Corp Academy to train as a colonist assigned to the recently terraformed planet of Sequoia. He wishes to help manage the planetary nature preserve as a game warden. Before boot camp has begun, a jealous classmate, a former boyfriend of the girl Reilly has fallen in love with, attacks him, forcing him to fight through the pain. Determined to not let this setback derail his dream, he must prove to the academy, and himself, to complete boot camp and secure his place on Sequoia.

Young & Naïve opens with Reilly Henning feeling uncertain what comes after high school graduation. This changes while in attendance of his final class before graduation where the professor explains of an adventurous opportunity offered by the Terraform Corp Academy. Without much thought, he signs up and is selected to join an exclusive bootcamp. This opportunity is interrupted for Reilly due to a jealous classmate who has violently attacked him over a girl they both love. The attacker being the former boyfriend of this girl in question.

The injuries Reilly has sustained during the attack has the potential to jeopardize his participation in the bootcamp. He will need to fight through the pain in order to complete the mental and physical requirements of the Terraform Corp Academy. Furthermore, this challenge is paired with another one: love. An invisible, quiet individual throughout high school, Reilly discovers he’s become the center of attention amongst his classmates. All thanks to having fallen in love with a young woman who was always popular. In order to survive, he must navigate the challenges of newfound popularity while handling the rigorous curriculum of the academy in physically injured state.
